Welcome to 4i. By using our platform to upload, create, or share media, you enter into a legally binding agreement with us. Please review these terms carefully.
1. Infrastructure & Global Processing
4i is primarily hosted and operated from servers located within the European Union (EU). We strive to maintain high standards of data security in accordance with regional regulations.
However, users should be aware that our advanced AI capabilities, including AI Video Generation, AI Storytelling, and AI Music Video Synthesis require significant computational power. To provide these services, the platform frequently makes API calls to specialized processing clusters located outside the EU, most commonly in the United States of America. By utilizing these AI tools, you acknowledge and consent to the international transfer of data required for these computations.
2. Content Creation, Ownership & Licensing
Our platform empowers users to generate, upload, and share diverse forms of media. We believe that your creativity belongs to you.
Your Content, Your Ownership
All videos, music videos, and assets you create using 4i belong entirely to you. 4i.app is strictly a tool used to assist your creative process. Neither the platform, its parent company, nor the underlying AI models claim any ownership, rights, or copyright over the media you generate or publish here. You are the creator, and you retain full intellectual property rights over your work.
License Granted to 4i for Public Distribution
By uploading, sharing, streaming, or publishing content on 4i—including but not limited to audio tracks, music videos, lyrics, and album cover artwork—you explicitly grant 4i a worldwide, non-exclusive, sublicensable, and royalty-free (subject to the 4i Royalty Programme) license to host, store, stream, playback, publicly display, and distribute this media to other users on our platform. This license is strictly required to allow us to operate our streaming, discovery, and catalog services.
Third-Party Media & Copyright Responsibility
While you own the final arrangement of your creations, using 4i does not grant you ownership of assets you did not already have the rights to use. If you upload or integrate video clips, images, music tracks, lyrics, or album cover art that you do not own or possess a legal license for, combining them within this tool does not change their original legal status.
You warrant that you hold all necessary rights, licenses, or permissions for any content you upload. 4i takes absolutely no responsibility for intellectual property or copyright infringements resulting from your use of unauthorized third-party materials. Unauthorized use of copyrighted album art, lyrics, or audio will result in content removal.
3. Music Publishing & Royalty Programmes
When you choose to officially publish a single on 4i, you retain your intellectual property rights but must register your release under one of the following pathways:
- No royalty programme: You retain full control over your content while allowing 4i to distribute it for free.
- PRS Registration: You may register and manage the work independently under PRS (Performing Right Society) or your respective regional Performance Rights Organization (PRO) to manage your public performance royalties.
- 4i Royalty Programme: Alternatively, you can opt into the 4i Royalty Programme, entitling you to receive a 70% split of net revenue generated by your content directly on our platform.
4. Privacy Policy
We collect essential information to manage your account and improve our generative models.
Account Information: We store usernames and email addresses on our EU servers.
Usage Metadata: We track how our AI models are utilized to optimize performance.
Processing Disclosure: While your account data remains largely in the EU, the content of your AI prompts or uploaded videos may be processed in the United States during the generation phase.
Please note that while you retain ownership of your content, any personal likeness, audio, artwork, or information contained within your videos will become publicly accessible to others if you choose to publish or share them on our platform.
5. Limitation of Liability
4i is provided solely as a creative medium and technical tool. We are not liable for the actions of users or third parties, nor are we responsible for any legal disputes, copyright claims, or damages arising from the videos or music you create, upload, or share. You assume full legal responsibility for your media. We provide no warranties regarding how external copyright bodies or laws treat AI-assisted outputs.
